Background
Ali Kinali is a Turkish-Canadian entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in international trade, import/export, and manufacturing. He has built businesses across multiple sectors—including paper, logistics, and construction—and established strong networks across North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Ali specializes in sourcing high-quality materials from global markets and delivering them with competitive pricing and reliability.

The Path to Costa Rica
After traveling to Costa Rica for more than 15 years, Ali decided to settle in the country. His personal experience with the challenges of homebuilding—overpriced properties, poor-quality construction, and outdated concrete systems—led him to seek better alternatives. Inspired by his background in sourcing and international business, he identified light steel structures as the future of housing: stronger, lighter, earthquake-resistant, healthier, faster to build, and more affordable than traditional methods.

Casa de Acero & Aliento
To make this vision a reality, Ali founded Casa de Acero (Costa Rica) and its sister company Aliento (Turkey).

Casa de Acero supplies and distributes advanced construction products across Costa Rica, including light steel structures, drywall (Grandex), insulation, sandwich panels, drainage pipes, vapor barriers, and other specialized systems.
Aliento manages manufacturing and sourcing in Turkey, working directly with certified factories to ensure products meet or exceed European and North American standards.

Ali personally tested and built with these materials—proving their superior performance compared to local products—before introducing them to the market.

About Mehmet Fatih BİLİM
I am Mehmet Fatih BİLİM, a civil engineer who combines academic knowledge and field experience with an international trade vision, focusing my career on the supply of construction materials and innovative building solutions.

As the General Manager of Aliento Foreign Trade and Marketing Ltd. Co., I manage a strong logistics and trade network that supplies construction materials to Central American countries through Costa Rica-based operations.

Our company operates in partnership with Canadian Casa De Acero LLC LIM, the leading company in Light Steel Structures and Construction Materials in the Central American region. As the Team Leader for Turkey, I play an active role in integrating innovative building systems into the region, developing sustainable projects, and delivering technical solutions.

My Goals

Regional Leadership: To become a reliable and innovative brand in construction material supply in Central America.
Strategic Partnerships: To expand modern and sustainable light steel structure systems in cooperation with Casa De Acero.

About Juan
Juan joined Casa de Acero in 2023 with the goal of helping the company grow and reach new heights. Since then, he has been deeply involved in every part of the operation.

As the General Manager, Juan and his team oversee the company’s growth and expansion. This includes managing construction projects, material deliveries, and the assembly of steel homes from start to finish.

Beyond day-to-day management, Juan develops new strategies and approaches to strengthen Casa de Acero’s position in the market. He has worked to expand our presence internationally, representing the company in expos and presentations across different regions.

I am Ertuğrul BİLİM, an architect combining my expertise in design with operational management experience, responsible for overseeing all project drafting, control, and supervision processes of our company.

I have extensive experience in construction, project management, and operational processes. I actively use multiple design programs and deliver solutions capable of bringing any envisioned project to life. While developing proactive and innovative approaches in projects, I also provide creative ideas in material and design selections.

My expertise includes managing project drawings, assembly plans, and installation solutions; ensuring the proper application of procured materials on-site; as well as efficiently and effectively handling operational processes such as procurement, logistics, order management, and material research.

By coordinating across teams, I ensure the feasibility of technical details and the efficiency of on-site processes, adding value to projects at every stage with practical, sustainable, and innovative solutions.

About Berfin Lordoğlu
I am Interior Architect Berfin Lordoğlu, and I currently hold the position of Procurement and Support Manager. My area of responsibility within the company covers all stages of projects, from the design process to the implementation phase. Accordingly, I prepare the conceptual and detailed designs of projects and carry out the technical drawings. To present the designs in a clearer and more realistic way, I also provide visual support by producing 3D renderings.

In addition, I am responsible for the selection of products and materials to be used in projects, as well as overseeing the procurement processes and managing the supply chain. By ensuring that the right products are delivered on time and within budget, I contribute to the efficient progress of the projects through interdisciplinary coordination.

My Goal
My goal is to create projects that combine aesthetics and functionality, while also incorporating sustainable solutions, and to add value to every stage of the process through teamwork.

After two decades at Apple, where I had the privilege of helping bring products and services like the App Store, Apple Pay, and Apple TV+ to the world, I’ve stepped into a new chapter rooted in purpose and place.

I’ve joined Casa de Acero, a pioneering team dedicated to transforming housing across the region, to lead the sales and marketing function. Together, we’re introducing light steel-structured homes that are accessible, sustainable, and beautifully designed—offering communities a smarter, less wasteful way to build.

This work is more than construction; it’s about reimagining how people live and connect with the spaces they call home. Drawing from my experience building global platforms at Apple and combining it with Casa de Acero’s innovative approach, I’m excited to help shape a future where high-quality, sustainable housing can flourish in Costa Rica and beyond.
